We dined with contrada delle torre, which is the via right down from the tower.
Lyza our guide told us all about the event and how the jockeys get paid off, that the Palio is a prize of a big sheet also (custom painted with horses and the Madonna) that the horses enter the church to get blessed and much more.
The Sienese were so nice and talked to us about America and their traditions and we ate five delicious courses!
Such a beautiful memory
